Arrive for your scan 5 minutes before your appointment time. If you are late, you will have less scan time which will affect how much 4D we are able to achieve 2. Arrive with a FULL bladder. This helps improve 4D quality 3. Eat or drink something sweet if you are able to, around 30 minutes before your scan 4. In the 2-3 days prior to your appointment, drink plenty of fluid to help increase the clarity of the amniotic fluid Some important information to consider below: The optimal time for a 4D scan is generally between 26 - 32 weeks of pregnancy, as this period offers a good balance of baby development and womb space for clear images. Whilst scans can be done as early as 24 weeks, you are more likely to achieve clear images during the 26-32 week window. There are multiple factors that will affect your image quality (Having a high BMI, anterior placenta, position of baby).
